When I picked her up from daycare, her skirt was very colorful. The formerly white lace was yellow and green, and there were streaks of brown on the shiny blue cloth. Her t-shirt was a fabulous mess, and her arms matched. As it turns out, they had a morning party and an afternoon party. Both of these ended with the kids picking a piece of candy from their trick or treating bags (They went trick or treating through the school building.) and taking it to the playground to eat it. It makes sense given the energy of the day, but it made for quite the mess.
I anticipated the mess, so I had brought another blue shirt. The skirt was reversable, so I turned the mess to the inside and put it on. She had pants on underneath her skirt because I was not sure she would actually keep the skirt on.
We went to the local Thursday farmers market where we generally pick up some locally grown food and baked goodies, and they were having a trunk or treat, bouncy house, horse ride event. We partook for a bit, making the third party of Lily's day, and then proceeded to my sister's house for official trick or treating.
The crew consisted of five little princesses between the ages of two and five. Very cute. A fun time was had by all.
